Amazon Gossip is a work that bears my own roots.
To me, parrots are not just exotic birds — they are a living part of the landscape I
grew up with. In Brazil, nature is never silent. It sings, talks, laughs, gossips.
The colors are more intense, the sounds more present, life more vibrant. And precisely
parrots are masters at reflecting that energy: intelligent, social, full of
personality and completely impossible to ignore.
In this painting I wanted to capture all of that
tropical temperament.
The deep green leaves, the sensual red tones
and the parrot's vibrant colors are not just
aesthetic choices — they are memories, feelings and
fragments of home. For me, Amazon Gossip became a
tribute to the rhythm of the Amazon, to the rhythm of nature
colorful creatures and to the lively
communication that is always present in Brazilian
nature.
The parrots in the painting are in the middle of a conversation —
as if they just observed something and can't help but share it. That kind of energy is
so typically Brazilian: warm, spontaneous, humorous and full of life. The painting is therefore
both a story and a homecoming. A meeting between my inner world and nature's
expressiveness.
Amazon Gossip is for me a colorful greeting from Amazon — a reminder of where
I come from, and about nature's ability to speak to us with both wisdom and
playfulness. A message that life doesn't always have to be serious; sometimes you get
Stop, listen and smile at nature's little gossipers.
